The Poet
Rakesh’s first ambition was to be a painter – but he ended up with an engineering degree during which he wrote half a dozen papers in calculus around the theory of uncertainty and fuzzy logic. The world of business always fascinated him. He got a Master’s in Business, worked for 8 years, and then headed out on his own. He discovered poetry in Hindi, Urdu (Hindustani), and English.
Like it happens when learning cycling, sometimes you one day just learn the balance – and Rakesh started writing. He plans to publish his poetry as a book.
Do you also spend nights awake Do you count the watches of the day too That it will end somehow
When nobody wakes you up in the morning, and when nobody waits for you at night, and when you can
मुद्दतें दर्द की लौ कम तो नहीं कर सकतीं ज़ख़्म भर जाएँ मगर दाग़ तो रह जाता है दूरियों से
Unsuccessful love is the real love When man doesn’t awake nor sleep Some break like their heart on its edges
