- An average shelter keeps ~ 100 dogs but not dogs with
○Chronic diseases such as kidney failure
○Dogs suffering from different types of cancer
○Contagious diseases survivors such as parvo or CD
○Disabilities such as permanent blindness
○Very expensive rehabilitation such as genetic defects, brain damage, paralysis, amputees, etc.
○Very old dogs
○Dogs that have shown aggression towards people/ dogs
- Whereas VOSD takes ONLY THESE types of dogs that can’t be adopted and need lifelong care
